The students at DeWitt D. Barlow Elementary School are your typical students. They are fun-loving, motivated students whose academic levels are wide-ranging. They dedicate themselves each day to becoming stronger readers, better writers, and creative problem solvers. However, many of them do not lead typical lives. Many of my students have known or will know realities that most adults would not even want to imagine. For many of these boys and girls, school is a safe-haven. I take pride in making my classroom a place of acceptance, exploration, and most importantly, opportunity. Through your donations, you play a huge part in giving these children another reality. For that, I am eternally grateful.

About my class
