I know 30 chromebooks sounds like a large investment but I promise the technology will not go to waste and will allow me to impact a larger number of students. Students will use google applications on the chromebooks to complete collaborative science labs focused of Earth Science. Examples include the development of google slides to identify fossil types using role playing, technology and physical manipulatives. Additionally students will investigate water use and quality by measuring and developing water use/quality surveys. Students will turn in assignments on google classroom which will allow me to provide them with timely and quality feedback. The fusion of Science labs and technology will help my students take their learning to a new level. Institutions of higher learning and employers are looking for students that have the skill set of working together collaboratively in a virtual environment while effectively using technology. The integration of chromebooks into our classroom community will help my students develop these skills.
