Hearing Education Services (HES) is a district 75 program for students that are deaf and hard of hearing. Our self-contained Sign Support elementary school program is located at PS333x in the south Bronx. We service approximately 50 students in grades k-5 of varying abilities, communication modalities, and languages. Our focus is to provide support in language delays and close the achievement gap. It is my focus as Coordinator of the program to support and develop our team of teachers, paraprofessionals and interpreters to raise all student achievement while building advocacy skills, self identity and promoting equity and access.
