College Class Taking High School Students - I am an 11th & 12th grade English Language Arts teacher. I teach in the only Middle College in the state of Oklahoma. In a Middle College, students can take college courses for both high school and college credit. My students are not expected to succeed. They are minorities, lower-income, and/or second-language learners. However, my students don't allow that to stop them. They succeed every day. And their teachers help them to do so by creating active educational opportunities that allow them to overcome the obstacles before them and to become creative, intelligent problem solvers.
