Students visit the library as a class. Successful use of iPad Apps and activities necessitates students to adequately hear their own iPad, not those of the 29 other students' in the library. Headphones would allow students to individually complete classwork and use the apps. The touchscreen of the tablet is great, but does not lend itself to extensive keyboarding. Intermediate, 4th-5th grade and Upper cycle, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students' iPad use involve greater data input. For example, answering questions on Google Forms, typing essays in Google Docs, researching and project creation. The keyboard addition to the iPad would cut down on frustration and increase focus on the assignment at hand.
