Our school is in its infancy, as 3 schools have come together to form a 5/6 Intermediate School. We took over the building of a former middle school and are working to build unity, community, and a name for ourselves. My favorite part about our new school is that all teachers CHOSE to be a part of it. No one was forced out of their own school. So we all have a passion for building something strong. We're "Eagles," and have therefore adapted the acronym "WINGS" to represent our expectations: W- Work and Play Responsibly, I- Improve Yourself and Your Community, N- Never Give Up, G- Get Involved, and S- Show Respect. Our students really take this acronym seriously. It's a realistic expectation and we have a very realistic approach to it. We hold students accountable and remind them to hold themselves accountable as well.
