We are a Title 1 city school. We are 100% free lunch. We have a very transient population; sometime my class roll changes 8 or 9 times a year. I know I may not have some of my kids very long so I need to inspire them all I can while I have them. They beg for love and acceptance. They need to know they are valued and important. They don't want worksheets and memorization. They need hands on application of skills and a tangible product to show off and be proud of. They need an academic challenge accompanied by loving support and constructive feedback. They long to experience success and accomplishment.
