During their last year of elementary I believe my biggest responsibility to my students is equipping them with the tools they need to become active learners who feel a personal responsibility for their own success. I teach students how to be aware of their personal thinking process and give them ample opportunities to share their learning process with other students. I believe that learning does not happen until it can be experienced and talked about. Students come to me with limited life experiences and little background knowledge about life outside of their view. Through engaging lessons and activities I help expand their background knowledge and in turn hope to expand their future.
