I teach small group 7th grade English Language Arts, and all students have an IEP in order to help them overcome their learning disabilities. My students are extremely hardworking and despite their challenges, they achieve amazing things on a daily basis. My students are curious about the world around them and eager to improve. They have all created writing goals for this semester and have been diligently working on progressing. My school community strongly supports inclusionary practices, and my students attend Science and History in larger class sizes. This is an incredible opportunity for the students, and I want to do all I can in ELA in order to give them the skills to be successful in a more independent environment.
