The students at New Tech High are amazing students! We do not offer sports at our school and our kids need a quality exercise experience. We are opening up our (outdated) fitness center to all students next year instead of just the students enrolled in P.E. so an upgrade to our current equipment is needed. I would like to provide a more well rounded Physical Education experience for our students. I chose to include dumbbells to allow more students to do planned weight training exercises. Currently there are only enough weights for 3 or 4 students to use. With classes of 35-50, we are extremely limited with the amount of weight training that we can do.
