Welcome to my English classroom! I teach High School Literature in Metter, Georgia. I have the best students in the world. They are well-mannered, respectful, and kind. Most of all, they make me excited to come and teach every day. I teach mostly 11th grade American Literature and 12th grade British Literature. We study ancient Greece and Shakespeare, foundational US documents and nonfiction accounts of human rights violations, plays and poetry... all the good stuff! Students focus especially on writing and getting ready for college and the workplace. We are a small rural community in South Georgia with a strong sense of community. I hope to find donors for technology, so all my students can research and type essays, as well as donors for books, because although technology has brought us far, there is nothing like picking up a good book and sitting down to read.
