Just as my students present at varying levels of ability, so are the tools needed to address them. Speech therapy encompasses several areas of communication: speech clarity, expressive and receptive language, vocabulary development, social-communication skills, listening, and reading comprehension, among other areas. With a diverse population, it is necessary to have an array of tools and activities at hand to address individual needs. Communication skills develop with exposure, modeling and repetition, enhanced by use of interactive and hands-on activities. The materials requested would help to address various needs of my diverse student caseload. The items chosen were specifically for areas within speech and language domain. The students would be allowed to utilize the resources listed in their home environment. Dry erase boards will be used to assist in writing to increase comprehension; Recordable devices will assist with communication and speech practice drills, picture cards will supplement vocabulary activities. The selected materials, my students will be provided opportunities to engage more effectively during remote learning, with supplemental tools to be used for home-based practice.
