Our school is one of the many high poverty elementary schools in Memphis, TN. The school has majority black and Hispanic students with a high rate of ESL students. The school itself works hard to gain the help of students through a newly created PTA and struggles to meet the needs of its students and staff with the challenges of an aging building and limited financial resources. Despite all those challenges, the students and staff work hard to reach the high goals they set for themselves every day.

About my class
