Change is scary, but it doesn't have to be. Often times, the idea of change is much worse than the reality and change is a reality. We are requesting a book - Who Moved My Cheese?: An A-Mazing Way to Deal with Change in Your Work and in Your Life - that will teach them to anticipate change and equip them to respond and navigate the transition to college. This book will help students identify and face their fears of the upcoming transition to college. It will give them language to talk about their feelings, truth to dwell on and skills to apply as they move on from high school. This book was life-changing for me. It taught me that change is inevitable, change is good and not nearly as scary as I imagine and I believe it will do the same for them.
