We all know how important recycling is to our planet, but at our school, we have been unable to follow through due to a lack of opportunity. My leadership students want to help ensure the future of the planet that they will inherit by helping to expand our school's current recycling system beyond paper and out into the quad during break and lunch. My students need seven permanent recycling receptacles and two rolling collection bins to help them to run their program. Running this recycling program will help my students to feel tied to the student body as well feeling like they have done something to help the Earth! My students are the leaders of the school and want to lead by example. By running this recycling program, they will be helping to educated their fellow students on the importance of preserving the environment and reducing what ends up in the landfill.
