My main goal is to teach my students to become problem solvers and critical thinkers. These materials will make a big difference in my classroom. Most of the time students are engaged in learning a variety of math concepts. I believe that through game play students develop these skills while having fun. It is important for students to see math class as a place where everyone can succeed. Playing games such as Uno or Battleship has allowed students to see that they are good at math. Experiencing success while playing games allows students to see that solving problems is more than just the problems presented to them in the math book.
