My school is a primary school consisting of around 500 students .I teach art to pre-k ,1st and 2nd grades. Our district supports art in the schools,but every year challenges arise concerning money allocated for art supplies.This year I received few art supplies.I have generated funds by organizing and presenting school art shows and auctions as well as spending my own money on supplies.My school has bright , enthusiastic students who deserve the best art education I can give them. I am requesting help for materials students will use to create art they can take home or leave for school shows and displays. Student art shows are so important because they highlight the unique art my students create,bring family and community into the school and build student pride and self esteem!Thanks for supporting the arts! Leigh Ann Williamson
