These materials would help children feel prepared when they get to school. That's a major component to learning. When they feel prepared, they are ready to learn. Children in our community have a hard enough time getting up and making breakfast for themselves that buying supplies is secondary. Although they need these items, fulfilling their basic need of food and shopping for food is mandatory in their families. Therefore, we want them to feel prepared and successful in class when they arrive at school daily. We go through numerous amounts of crayons, journals, and glue sticks throughout the year. We also use headphones to access our online software for reading. Many of the children are unable to afford headphones for in-class use. Any help supporting these young learners would be amazing and greatly appreciated by all! Thank you!
