My students are part of an amazing community and with that comes great expectations. My students are scholars, musicians, athletes, leaders, bookworms and most importantly, I look at them as if they were my own. They come from various backgrounds and in my class it doesn't matter. As a history teacher I teach to appreciate the rich past of our world and in doing so create an atmosphere where every child is comfortable and eager to learn. For the past two months, they have embraced what it means to be part of humankind. With each new story comes a new appreciation for where we come from. They are truly some of the best that I have had the honor of teaching.
