Thanks to the implementation of the International Baccalaureate program at Eastwood Middle School, I work with students that are independent and know how to drive their own learning. Eastwood is a learning community comprised of students from varying ethnic and socioeconomic groups. Due to the IB program students are able to develop an open-mind, appreciating their own personal history as well as the values and traditions of others. As a teacher at Eastwood Middle School, I have the privilege to work with 135 different students each week! Each student has a unique learning style and a vastly different personality, which makes every day a new opportunity to make an educational break through.
