Having a class set of virtual reality (VR) headsets will allow students to visit and view learning material as they never have before. New videos filmed in 360 view will give students a chance to place themselves into the learning. Instead of discussing the Civil War, students can now stand in the trenches and view battles from a soldiers point of view. A student can explore the solar system by soaring along with astronauts. Museums now travel to the classroom, allowing any child to experience the Smithsonian Museums. This project will make an impact by providing active learning for students; not passive. VR headsets allows students to eliminate other distractions in the class and truly immerse themselves in the material. This will also immediately engage students of all learning styles. Challenging concepts can now be better understood by seeing the subjects come to life. In addition to being an amazing visual tool, VR will provide an alternative form of learning for all classes. This resource will not be limited to one subject, but can be applied in several different classes.
