My students come from every background you can think of. Some come from nothing and are barely hanging one. They all come together to meet a common goal. . . to make a difference. It is not just about them making a difference, it is about them helping others make a difference. The students work hard for everything extra in this class. They plan, prepare, and execute everything from managing classrooms to preparing and presenting classes. They research, fund raise, and hold formal dinners and this year even a masquerade ball. The students form lasting bonds and friendships. They also plan and carry out service projects in the community and at local elementary schools. They are about making the communities they come from better, thus building up the way for the next generation.
