Most of the families that attend our school are English Language Learners and or on free or reduced lunch and often cannot afford basic supplies for the classroom. I try my best to provide what I can and last year spent $800 of my own money on the classroom but I am a single mother of two and can only do so much. I also try my best to provide a fun, safe and engaging learning environment but often times the workbooks provided do not do that and additional materials and projects are needed to make my lessons that much more engaging.
