I will be teaching at a school where students are put first and there is a deliberate focus on community. Although the school has had a tumultuous history, it has continued to improve both the community and services provided to students. Every year the school has continued to build on its previous successes and is fighting to become one of the best schools in Boston based on the belief that students are active learners and their growth needs to be both nutured and respected. My students are young and eager to learn in space that promotes their self-reflection and knowledge as readers and writers. They seek out chances to be in a safe place that both challenges and supports them on their educational journey. They hail from all different neighborhoods with the desire to be successful students.

About my class
