These materials will give the students a chance to express their learning in a different way other than normal tests. They will be able to do an art project on each World Civilization. For example we will be creating Egyptian masks, cuneiform Mesopotamia writings, Roman, Middle ages, and Renaissance art projects. This is a great way to integrate the arts and social studies. Students will be able to drive their assessment by integrating arts into their learning. This project will not only benefit my classroom, but all 180 sixth graders in our school. The paint, face forms, paint brushes, spray paint, and oil pastels are very expensive for our supply budget. It is wonderful to have these items donated to help relieve the expense for these wonderful activities.
