Our 2nd grade students are enthusiastic learners who love learning about everything - people, animals, the world and how things work! We do a variety of activities including whole group instruction, small group instruction, independent work, team talk, cooperative learning, and hands-on learning so our students have many different ways of gaining what they need and showing what they know. We also work on a lot of social-emotional learning and how to be a safe, respectful, and responsible members of our classroom/school community. With the pressures of high academic achievement, we still strive to allow students to be well-rounded individuals who can appreciate the arts, sciences, and social studies as well as math, reading, and writing.
