My school hired me to organize the start of a stellar music education program. The school is located in a high poverty, inner city area. My school also has the highest population of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, in the District. The school is 93% minority, 32% Special Education and 88% of the student population is eligible for free or reduced lunch. The students are enthusiastic about learning and they do not let their circumstances dictate their ability to be educated. As a passionate Music Educator, I feel that my students deserve the same opportunities and resources that the suburban school districts currently possess.
