"You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great!" My students come from all different types of backgrounds and the one thing that I have found that can connect them ALL is technology and social media. The use of iPads in the weight room may sound silly to many but it creates an amazing environment that is extremely motivating. Having these two iPads in my classroom will allow my students to implement peer teaching tasks, review current and past workouts, evaluate workouts, and work in teams. The cable adapters will allow the students to connect their iPads and project their workouts and other activities to a bigger group activity. "Motivation is what gets you started, habit is what keeps you going." Having the correct equipment to instill the habits needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle is imperative when running a physical education program. Our current equipment is very outdated and unsafe. The dumbbells and TRX cables that I am requesting will bring new life and energy into my student's gym life. Having new and updated equipment will bring that motivation needed to create and maintain the habits that my students need.
