My junior class has a lot of students on a lower level. Quite a few of my students are on an IEP or do not enjoy reading. Our school is limited to the texts they have available, and this novel would be wonderful to interest the students and meet their needs based on text complexity. I want to use a text they will enjoy. I hope to instill in them a want for literature and show them that there are books out there that they are able to connect with and understand.
