Hi there, my name is Mark Henrikson, and I teach 6th grade at Phoebe Hearst Elementary in beautiful Sacramento, California. I have been teaching in the Sacramento City Unified School District for 18 years; I also have taught 7th and 8th grade math at Sutter Middle School for 8 years, but the majority of my tenure has been in 6th grade. My classes are always made up of a diverse group of outstanding students committed to their education. This is a picture of us taken at the Sly Park Education Center in Pollock Pines. Throughout my years in the district, the availability of funds for school supplies, technology, and field trips have diminished dramatically. With help from groups like DonorsChoose.com, students at Phoebe Hearst have been given a positive boost in their education. Our students are a resilient bunch, but we all can use the help that you generously provide. Thank you. Go Dragons!
