My school is committed to preparing students for success by developing high achieving students who engage in and contribute to culturally diverse communities. All students will have the skills they need to connect, collaborate, and compete in an interdependent world. We are a group of 400 kindergarten-fifth grade students who are becoming globally competent and college ready. A full 97% of the students live in poverty, receive free and/or reduced lunch, and fewer than 85% have a computer connected to the Internet. We live in a city that is mile above sea level and would like to engage in technology that is a mile above the rest of our education. To accomplish this we need to expand our horizons by utilizing interactive technology items like heart rate monitors in our PE classroom during every lesson.
