Students in the Foods II: Fundamentals course are in the 10th through 12th grade. Some students are interested in culinary school and others are not. However, all students understand the importance of learning to prepare foods and becoming independent and comfortable in the kitchen. My high school is small with about 750 students in rural America. Students come from a tight knit community who are neighborly and willing to help others in need. Many students will go onto four year colleges, but even more will enter a community college or a trade school for specific work. The importance of Career and Technical Education is given a top priority for our students. We are a title one school and we receive a free lunch program for students in grades pre-k-12.
