I will teach ninety-third graders world geography this year. There are four classes and we rotate for different subjects. This is a neighborhood school. Most of the students live a mile from the school. The children are ready to learn and well-behaved. Our school was the recipient of the Blue Ribbon School Award, a national competition that looks at growth and test scores over a period of time. Despite our hard work and diligence, the budget for these items is as threadbare as our classroom carpet.
