Best practices in education encourage us to meet each students at his or her level rather than do as much all group lecture of old. Many classes now rotate through stations and work with the teacher in small intensive groups during math and reading. When technology can be worked into the mix, students become comfortable in working with devices that they likely do not have access to at home. Additionally, many applications on the ipads are intuitive they respond accordingly to a particular student's needs, strengths, and deficiencies. This in not "drill and kill". Trail but rather it is a much more responsive type of assistance instruction, and practice for students of all levels of competency.
