Hi, welcome to Room 461, where it gets toasty 80 degrees at 7:40 AM thanks to the direct morning sun. But no matter what the thermostat says, my students strive to funnel their passion and chart their own destiny. My students receive special education services--I have students with ranging processing abilities and emotional needs. However, they are just like any other teenagers--stressed over friends, embarrassed by families, in love with whatever is the latest and all the while searching for their place in the world. I am extremely lucky to be pushed out of my comfort zone by these teenagers everyday. Whether the subject is the best way to take selfies, the latest/newest pop culture phenomenon or just plain channeling teenage angst, they teach me so much more than I can ever do. I hope you join us in our tiny room and see what underdogs can do with a little bit of support.
