My students struggle the most, in my social studies classroom, with reading comprehension! And for a subject like mine, I need to help them in order to learn! I am creating a current events center this year. My students do not have access to updated news and print rich text like most students in America. The funds are just not there and we don't have a PTA large enough to help support the individual classroom.I want to incorporate this non-fiction literature that is directly related to the TEKS and help my students continue on their path of reading and understanding!
