Our students are from a rural area in Northern California, with a high percentage of second language learners. Many of our students come from a low sociol-economic background, and many have do not come to school with skills necessary to begin their school careers. Our school is a K-5 elementary school, with approximately 28 teachers. Many of our newer teachers grew up in this community,and now serve to teach our students. We have many volunteers who assist us with classroom activities, but our budgets are quite limited. We utilize technology such as document cameras, iPads, and Chromebooks to assist students with accessing curriculum.
