My class of second graders is full of hard-working, eager learners. Unfortunately, many of them come from difficult home situations. Some have very few opportunities outside of school. Seventy percent of our population come from low-income families and are on free or reduced priced lunch. Despite these limitations they want to learn and succeed; often all they lack are the resources.
