My elementary school has adopted the AVID elementary philosophy. ALL students should go onto higher education once out of the public school system. We started our AVID journey last school year with 5th graders and this year have taken it down to both 3rd and 4th grades. In my 5th grade class, I saw a remarkable improvement in organization and note taking skills, and I am excited for this school year to begin.
