Not all heroes wear capes! Each and every day I enter the school's campus, I am welcomed by the curiosity of wonderfully bright students. Our school is a title I school and 100% of the school population is on free or reduced lunch. Students come from a variety of cultures and backgrounds (52% Hispanic, 46% African American, and 2% Caucasian or Other). I admire the will and determination my students have shown in making the most out of their instructional time at school even in the midst of obsolete or nonexistent materials. Although students arrive to class everyday anxious to learn and explore, they also show and express to me the hardships they face at our school and community because of the lack of materials and resources offered. Will you join in supporting me to provide the best resources possible so that they can partake in a good quality education?
