Stephen K. Hayt Elementary School is a vibrant, highly diverse public school in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood, serving approximately 850–880 students from Pre-K through 8th grade. My students at Hayt Elementary represent a beautiful global community in the heart of Chicago. We are an Equity Focus school where over 75% of our learners come from low-income households and many are navigating the world in a second language. Despite these challenges, they are incredibly resilient. These yoga mats will provide a much-needed 'peaceful corner' in our bustling urban school, helping our diverse learners find calm and focus.
