I teach fourth grade in a very diverse urban setting. We are a K-8 school with about 800 students. Over sixty percent of my students receive free or reduced lunch. Fifty percent of my students speak another language at home. Many do not have computers at home to enhance their learning. We are an inclusion school, which means we have students in our classrooms with special needs, primarily students with autism. Because of my skills, training and experience, I often have students with autism in my classroom.
