I teach in a high-poverty elementary school, with more than 80% of our students on free or reduced-price lunch. For many of my students, the only resource they bring to school each day is an enthusiasm for learning. Despite their circumstances, they are excited to be in the classroom, and I want to fuel this love of learning by providing them with tools that will increase both their knowledge base and their skills.

About my class
