I teach at a small K-8 school. More than half of our students are on a free or reduced price lunch program. I have 19 students in my class, 5 boys and 13 girls. The primary language of most of my students is Spanish. The children come from large families with a number of siblings living in very small houses. The students are very curious about the world they live in. We spend a large portion of our day talking about new vocabulary and learning to read and write. My students are filled with questions which often leads us to the Internet to further their knowledge. My students love the outdoors. They have limited understanding of the incredible world that surrounds them.
