My students come from an extremely low-income area of Boston. Many of them are English Language Learners and have only been in the United States a short period of time. They are amazing young people who are excited about coming to school and learning how to read, write and learn multiplication and division. Our school is on a very tight budget and there are no available funds to purchase a new rug for my classroom. I know my students would love to curl up with a good book and read during their free choice time!
