Hello, and welcome! I am a 5th grade teacher at a Title 1 public school in Sunnyvale, California. My students are facing a somewhat unique challenge. They are living in the heart of the Silicon Valley, surrounded by technology and money but many of them only gain access to technology when they are at school. Our school is is a science stem school and we are constantly trying to find new and engaging ways to teach our students about science and ways to better the environment. They are full of energy and eager to learn. They learn best when they can use their hands and discover through exploration.
