I have 20 first grade students. We have students from low income to middle income homes. We have students who do not get to venture outside of their community and others that have a great deal of experiences to broaden their knowledge of the world. We have families that work very hard to provide for their children and devote a great deal of time and energy to their success, even with limited means. They want the best for their child, but sometimes struggle with how to make that happen. Our school is very technology rich. We have multiple Chromebook/laptop carts and desktops in every classroom. All classrooms are equipped with a Smartboard. I truly believe that tablets would truly enhance and support what we already have in place in my classroom.
