These volleyballs will help my students learn and excel at the great game of volleyball. During open gyms, we begin with detailed instruction in the fundamentals of forearm passing, overhand passing, setting, hitting and serving. We do this with drills that allow students to have success rates of eighty percent or higher, so students experience success easily and are motivated to learn more. We then move into court positions, offense, defense and other tactical and technical aspects of the game. Through the game of volleyball, we are promoting learning, healthy lifestyles, sportsmanship, citizenship and important life skills like decision making, cooperation and responsibility. Each open gym and practice has specific learning goals and as coaches, we are acutely aware of our responsibility to provide our students with leadership and support.
