Hello and Welcome! I am Kindergarten public school teacher in Oakland, CA. I have worked at my elementary school for 5+ years, previously teaching science and 2nd grade! At a school where many of our students come from low income families, are newcomers to the US and often are impacted by trauma, relationship building and creating an intentional school wide community is key. As a former performing artist I strive to use the arts (visual and performing) as the common thread through which all content knowledge can be integrated. I am an advocate for science education (my other love), exposing students to a wide variety of creative outlets, and making sure that all student receive the education they need in order to succeed. Non-standard resources can be scarce. Through Donor's Choose I hope to create an all inclusive and unique classroom.
