My classroom is an ESL (English as a second language) classroom. My kiddos are so excited to be in school each and every day. My classroom is culturally diverse. Many different ethnicities and languages are represented. We celebrate our languages, traditions. and uniquenesses every day. Most of my children's families are extremely loving and try to do everything they can possibly do for their children. They support the classroom as much as they can, although language can sometimes be a barrier. My school is Title 1. We are a neighborhood school. Generations of families come to our school for the dedicated staff. 100% of the students receive free and reduced breakfast/ lunch. This technology can help close the achievement gap and improve learning for students that would typically not have access to a tablet or computer at home. My school is not your typical school where parents donate to the classroom. Nor do we have a PTA to help raise money for things like this.
